Greetings to the NE QRP Club

Hi Everyone. I am Andy N1KSN, Member #176. I joined this group back in the 90's but when I moved to Wisconsin I went QRT for 6 years. I've been active again for some time but only last week did I rediscover the NE QRP Club--and remembered I belonged to it!

Since I became active again I've build a bunch of QRP radios including the SW-20+, SW-80, WM-20, Norcal 40A, ATS-3, K1, and K2. I also homebrewed a "Norcal 30A" for 30 meters. I really like to build.

I just bought the club's SCAF kit, but my most recent fun was building the W1AW Receiver project from these pages. I found all the parts in my junk box and built it ugly style on a small piece of singlesided PCB. I added a hiss reduction filter to the audio output, too.

Even though I'm in Northeast Wisconsin I pick up the W1AW code practice and bulletins on 3.5815 MHz with no problem. I plan on using the project for a Show and Tell at my ham club, the Fox Cities Amateur Radio Club.

You have a very nice website, and I look forward to visiting it often.

Cheers and best regards,
Andy Palm N1KSN
